Over the last few years, this ministry leadership of Reaching a Generation, heard the Lord speaking to them about a focused ministry effort in the local community. The population of Mokopane is becoming increasingly younger and younger. A 2016 census indicated that nearly 40% of the population was between the ages of 0-15. As these numbers continue to rise – God’s call to plant a life-giving, community-focused, multi-generational, English-speaking church has become a call that cannot be denied.

In March of 2020, the first meetings were held to begin growing a launch team for Celebration Church. When the team first met together, there was no way to anticipate all that would happen for the rest of the year. From a small group of about 15 to a regular assembly of nearly 300 people, we have witnessed God’s faithfulness to grow this church vision within Mokopane.

Celebration Church is now renting a facility inside of Mokopane – at 103 Thabo Mbeki Drive. This facility will be used to host services for Celebration Church, youth and children’s activities, life group meetings, worship services and will eventually be an academic support center, and host to drug rehabilitation ministries! 

As the Lord continues to unfold His desires for Mokopane, we look forward to a full church launch in September of 2021. Celebration Church endeavors to be a life-giving family of believers that aim to serve our community faithfully.
